Define best?

Martin @ Reylands for sheer performance, as I know he didnt just strap on a big hairdryer to get power, but concourse, no.

I'd say Reyland's escort is awesome performance/spec wise.
Duncoss has a MINT one but not a mental spec i dont think, looks perfect though.

Has that "Arty" guy still got his? It was a concourse bling thing that i loved a few years back.

Best condition? Best looking? Fastest? Most powerful?

You cant possibly say ones 'better' than the other as its only opinions.

As performance doesnt really bother me, it would have to be duncoss' (duncross'?) imperial blue one, although i dont think its exactly slow either. By far the best escos out there in my opinion.

Most iconic with everything pretty much perfect and you'd aspire to have yours exactly like it, was Stian Hafsengen's Gatebil Escort. But after it went to Leif's hands, it was never the same. Tatty modifications, new paint job and an unreliable motor saw the end of it, its not been seen in one piece since from what I've heard off JHS and others

Now though, it would have to be Harvey Gibbs' car. Bags of custom engineering crammed into that engine bay and you could easily spend a day underneath it looking at all the trick toys attached to it.

Martin Hadland's is a nice work of art also, but Danny's is cool too....even on 3 wheels

I thought so too, but man you pulled a mean 180 when that wheel came off Hope it didn't sustain too much damage though

Yeah I forgot about that carbon Cossie, but that's not really still a cossie is it. Will have a different engine won't it?

Either way, I still think the Gatebil one rules all. Powerful, concours condition, fine details that'll make a grown man shit his pants...perfection.

LOL!!
Not much damage at all mate, the wheel got a few big scratches etc but will live to see much more track action...
Iv bought two new rear hubs as the one that threw away a wheel had cracks to it and i will only buy pairs as they are now different, new studs through out the rear and i now have ss wheel nuts instead of those shitty alloy ones...the rear brake disc has even survived!!
Once iv painted the rear bumper and my new wrc front bumper and put it all together im going to take it to the retro ford day at brands on the 22nd of november...

Monster's gloss black one or Bigpower's old blue one, don't get much cleaner than them. For pace wise, some of the examples mentioned.

That's ace pal, that rotor did look a little grim when it landed on the ground...a little flat on the edge. Glad its salvagable, not exactly cheap are they

That one, I don't personally believe you will get much better than a works built car with a engine like that in it.

Why on earth people don't just buy a ex works car and build it up with a big powerful engine is beyond me as you can't really do much better. Cost is a major factor but I bet many people have spent near to that on their own car and it will be running transmission that they know will shit itself the moment it gets more than a days worth of abuse.

track - Harvey's, Martins,Mike Rainbird, this Black WRC kitted one is fkn stunning and a weapon,Warren kelly's,also there the focus green one a scottish guy Jamie is also a cracking car tbh theres to many

Road -

As above Mark Barbers one truely MINT stunning escos had over £60,000 spent on it i was in it going to ford fair i fooking love it to the point that if i sell my car and the boy who has left a deposit on L11 XRS doesnt turn up with the rest then more than likely L11 XRS will be sitting in my garage in the near future

Duncan Clairs again seriously mint escos packing big bhp had more make overs than Jordan he treats it every week and keeps it proper mint also no doubt Dunc has spent MEGA money on his lovely example

And one no one has said but will no doubt be one of the best in the world imo Jim Jeardleys thats HARDCORE mint he has threw money at it like nothing on this earth i heard on the grape vine (pretty sure Jim will correct me if iam wrong?) that the paint job ALONE was £10,000 and its 520bhp and every thing new that = one truely amazing escort rs cosworth

Its hard to say "thats the best escos ever" BECAUSE they all have there own nice touch's i might like something but you might notso then it cant be the best because i say yes you say no.......... also its diffrent preffrences do you like standard?fully modified?bhp? goes on and on............

try and pic 1 out of this.......

https://passionford.com/forum/ford-e...ures-here.html

it just cant be done imo
