Default Help needed computer problem ( I know it's in the wrong area )

I had this posted up in the computer section for a while but got no response so thought I would try here on the upper floors to see if anyone can help?

Can any one help me get rid of this annoying F*****g active desktop, I was messing around the other day and found this moving piston picture in a web site it was about the size of the avatar thingies that people put under there user name, I right clicked on the picture then clicked "set as desktop item" then a box appeared with the words Internet Explorer "do you want to add an active Desktop item to your Desktop" and I clicked "Yes"

As you can see from the pic bellow it overlays the original desktop picture and when I log off it disappears to reveal the original desktop for a few seconds until the computer shuts down, I have tried right clicking and delete but I don't get that option, all I get is

Arrange icons by >
Refresh
NVIDIA control panel
New >
Properties

I have searched for it elsewhere on the computer but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated "It's doing my head in"

you tried right clicking on the desktop, select properties and then click the desktop tab at the top, then select the pic you want as a desktop image and then see if the half and half picture dissapears?

If all else fails try a restore. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.

This will put the computer back to a date before it cocked up!

OK I have done it I was just about to do what R4N S S suggested I right clicked on the picture, clicked properties then saw the customise desktop tab, in there there was a Web tab clicked that and noticed that there was a ticked box for a http address from which i copied the stupid moving picture from, I think it was set to display this picture as a web page on my desktop.

Cheers guys for your help and my apologies for wasting your time, you wouldn't believe how many times I have tried to get rid of the stupid thing.
