Default Painting a Focus RS intercooler

I have got an intercooler to paint for a Focus RS Mk2.

Now - what i need to try and find out is

a) Can i used standard paint - i.e standard primer
b) I want to paint it matt black - again do i need a high temp paint or is a standard cellulose based paint ok

I assume i should only do a light primer coat and ideally a fairly light top coat - if using cellulose i really would want to put a final laquer coat again will this be ok.

Any suggestions about the best way to do this would be appreciated.

Will it take lacquer as well with no problems - just worried aboput the affect of heat but i assume that with an intercooler heat isnt a major concern

i would try to find some sort of etching primer and then add some plasticiser to it and the paint...
dont forget metals expand and contract when heated....
anyone for cracked paint ?

matt black is nice an easy to apply by can and gives a nice looking finish. No need for lacquer though I dont think as this then just makes it shiny.
