Whats wrong with people ( NO DEAL )

A business has to be registered and fill in all sorts of forms including taking I.D. if they want to accept more than £9,000 in cash under money laundering regulations.

I'm pretty sure it's down to 5k, and it doesn't have to be in 1 sitting.
If the sane person tries to deposit more than 5k in the bank, or to a company they have to question where it came from.

i think he could be genuine and just sick of people ringing him up offering him shitty bits and peices that he doesnt want, if you go round there with some dollar he might start talking.
dont you get daft offers that make you want to give up when you sell cars?
i agree with what someone said about the norton owners club or something, someone on there must now about those bikes like someone on here would know whos rs it is on fleabay too

If you want something as rare as that, I'd just be glad you have found it, email the fella for his address and go round and buy it TBH, rather than care about wether he wants to talk by email or over the phone or not, seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face really.

on a serious note, are the bikes "really" worth that much money? I don't have the first idea about bike values so would be intrested to find out if their value is actual "worth" or due to their rareity

Happily retired
He knows he has something that people want, the 50k is the starting bid not the selling price hes expecting lots more i guess. You buy it on his terms or you come onto an internet Forum & bleat about he wont sell on your terms .

Good luck mate, nice gesture and nice bikes to have. Hopefully the seller will be less difficult to deal with in person.
To be honest i don't think you'll get that sort of help. They seemed like a complete bunch of bellends when my mate tried to contact them about his bike. Obviously there will be some helpful members but the ones we dealt with were very unhelpful.

i dont know much about these bikes but my dads well into them and believes that the package is overpriced. about 40K would be about right, the 500cc manx bike is very desirable and worth alot, having history and being a featherbed maybe 25-30K but the kitcar style built 900cc replica isnt worth 25-30k maybe 17K. but we may have misread something about it that gives it value.

I got a very short reply to my email that simply said you can view but will need to take bikes away and i wont sell for any less than 50k
Now i have done my homework and the Manx is worth 25k to 30k MAX and the other bike about 10k so he is way out on price anyway so i have politly declined his offer to view

Some may remember a post i put up about my search for a Manx norton motorbike
anyway , I was told of one on ebay , probs is there is a Manx and another bike the fella wants to sell as a pair
I contacted the fella via email as there is no contact number , I tell him my story why i want a manx and that im no messer i have the funds and will buy both bikes if i must to get the Manx
I ask for a contact number so we can chat and aslo give him my numbers if he wished to call me
I get a reply , If you want the bikes then turn up with the cash and buy them , I dont do phone calls
So he wants me to turn up at his address ( that he hasnt given me ) with 50k in cash without a single word spoken
Is it me or is this bloke a fucking nutter ?
