Whats wrong with people ( NO DEAL )
Some may remember a post i put up about my search for a Manx norton motorbike
anyway , I was told of one on ebay , probs is there is a Manx and another bike the fella wants to sell as a pair
I contacted the fella via email as there is no contact number , I tell him my story why i want a manx and that im no messer i have the funds and will buy both bikes if i must to get the Manx
I ask for a contact number so we can chat and aslo give him my numbers if he wished to call me
I get a reply , If you want the bikes then turn up with the cash and buy them , I dont do phone calls
So he wants me to turn up at his address ( that he hasnt given me
) with 50k in cash without a single word spoken
Is it me or is this bloke a fucking nutter ?

IMO, the Manx is 30k and the other norton 20k
I would just sell on the other bike

Sorry to hear about that paul but what your doing sounds great 
, to ad they two bikes look great might be worth persivering (sp) with this guy even tho he is a dick. To be fair he does look like a good seller as well even tho his communication skills arent that great.

If he wont speak to you on the phone, maybe go and speak to him in person over a cuppa if hes fairly local? Then arrange a deal from there?
Probably just a shy old man looking at the decor and some of the things he says in the add, as carlo says he has good feedback etc via ebay.

from how the ad is written and laid out, he doesnt sound like a numpty, but if he expects anyone to turn up at his house with Ł50K in there back pocket, without having a conversation with him, he needs to give his heed a shake.

he probably has had loads of hassle from ppl wanting to px their Gixer etc, too many twats on ebay as everyone knows.
i would do as said above, go and view the bikes, have a chat with the guy and not take 50k along with you, if they are what your after put a deposit down and collect as soon as possible after.

I have also explained that a short phone call will just answer some questions and i can get a feeling for him and he can about me before he gives me his addy

I am actually selling one of my rs500"s to fund this purchase , In my heart it is what i want to do for my Dad as i realy deeply regret not helping him buy one when he was alive

Paul, Everyone who paid for something from me while I was in business eventually got their stuff..I was just very slow off the mark sometimes which happens if you try to do too much.

Hmmm....Thats odd.....50k is alot of money...I know if i was the seller, id deffo want to speak to the people interested in buying the bikes to see how genuine they were!

Paul what you might find is he has had a bunch of arseholes send him emails saying his bikes arent worth 50k and they swapa corsa and a scooter for them. Hes probably fed up with the planks mailing him, if its a good one persevere and try and get them, knock him down on the price to make yourself feel better but dont walk away if it what you want cos he's an arse!

Far far quicker to text or email, get with the modern times. He has 100% feedback on many sales he is obviously genuine and cant be bothered talking to plonkers with no money. (not saying you skint but he dont know that and i bet he aint in any panic to sell considering the 50k is a starting bid!)
