Hi Guys,
I've recently purchased the above vehicle and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the car? (pictures now added)!
What I Know is that the car was a previous show winning car finishing 1st place in its catorgory (M8) 98 and 99 and 2nd place during 2000 at the Fordfair!
The car came with a binder of history (2-3 inches thick) including all the previous MOT and tax discs, service history. Various uprated parts including a complete chrome engine bay and a rear disc conversion. On the face of it the car has been very well looked after, underneath is solid!
I'd appriciate your comments.

Interesting!! Whats MIM Raffino's? If you can sort them pics, that'll be very much appreciated!
I first met this car 10 years ago at the Fordfair, where it was being shown! At the time i had a 1990 H ERST in White (H634 XGW) and I remeber saying to my mate how I would love mine to be as clean as G33 HWR was back then! Little did I know that 10 years later I am now the owner! Small world!
I'm in two minds whether to keep her though.... I know if I sold it I would then only go and buy another one! MMMMMM, what to do!

Hey mate just read your post!!
Are you sure you have the right registration as a mate of a mate had that and it was totalled at the end of 2008.
From what I remember it was put into a ditch just outside Glasgow!!! it had severe front end damage.
I will try and find you some info if you want?

Glasgowford, cheers for your comments. The car is hpi clear but now you come to mention it the front bumper is a different colour to the rest of the car! The wings, bonnet and front slam panel are original! If you could provide further info that would be very much appreciated!

I had a chat with a mate last night who said it was put into a lay-by and hit a tree on the A77 heading towards Kilmarnock it was a rainy night and he lost control of it!!
It was quite a bad crash and it made the local news up here as it happened in a notorious accident black spot.
He also confirmed it was a very bad but the owner put it into storage to repair it himself so don’t know if it was registered.

i know this car well or did...
you need to be in touch with a lad called andy harrison(rsdrew) , on rs owners club board
it was his in 98 99
he did all the work on it to concourse level
the front bumper mite be a different shade, it had a different one on when andy owned it
nice to know its still on the go , i,v got pics somewhere of it at ford fair 98 99 cos mine would have been next to it ,red h552 obe

Glasgowford, nice picture but i don't accept that this is the vehicle that I purchased for two reasons... I know that the car for the last 10 to 12 years has had a set of 15" TSW stealths on. (I changed them back to standard)! I have also had the front bumper off and there is no damage to the passenger side. The car in the picture has a 90 spec fornt bumper on it, I have spoken to the previous owner and when he sold the car in 2008 it had the pre 90 spec bumper on the car! There are no RS Owner club stickers on the front windscreen either! I know for a fact that them stickers have also been on the car for at least 10 to 12 years!

Its definitely the car mate as I was there when it was recovered!!!

I've just had the engine fully rebuilt costing me Ł1500. In total the car owes me Ł4200. If you want it that badly make me an offer. Not interested in your VW Golf as I'm a Ford man and always will be!

Everybody, Glasgowford - aka Mr Kent Devey a so called work colleague who drives a Mark 2 Golf was winding me up!

I do have a Wellane Dump Valve in the garage but decided to leave it off as i am currently running the engine in. I've completed 350 miles so far. Another 150 then change the oil for the final 500 miles then I'm good to go! Having a new alarm system fitted next Friday 24.9.2010! Just nothing but cost!

Yeah the car is still clean underneath! Preserved her over the years with the stone chip which I assume Andy did! There is a couple of places where she is starting to go on the passenger side rear leg but I'll sort it. There are also a few bubbles around the sun roof, to be expected as it is a 21 year old car now.
