The aerial for these is in the rear screen, reckon id be better with a aftermarket windscreen mounted one?? I listen to MW quite alot as i listen to Talksport during the day, but i cant hear a bean

Edit: Like one of these; http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=w....c0.m270.l1313

The standard aerial is amplified in the Mk4 anyway and is in the rear screen. There is a small wire (white and blue iirc) that is the remote turn on for th eamplifier in the tailgate. I found my reception improved hugely as a result of connecting this after 6 years

Nice tag Mancsy Bumder

Found the little blue box in the boot, all the wires were connected, soon as i tuched the black cable coming out (looks like the main aerial cable) the reception popped and made interferrance noise!! Ive left it so it works but guessing every bump i go over is going to effect it

Worst case mate, buy one of these:
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...m_vc=IOV4PLPZ1

They've worked well in the past to cure similar reception problems.
