Default kindle on amazon, whats it like?

just been there and it's got this kindle thing going on which gives you free books to your iphone, anyone done it yet?

don't want to have to go through all the downloading stuff if it's a bit pants and pointless, but will have a go if it's like properl pages and you can read it properly and stuff

I used to hate them, but my bro's got one, and it's really good! Because it's E-ink or something, it's as easy to read as a book, but doesn't strain your eyes like a phone screen.

reading a 500 page book on your iphone via kindle, you'll go blind!

but on a kindle, i find its better than a book, as its lighter than a book to hold, tyhe screen is very easy on the eyes

Kindle on the ipad aint too bad, but becomes a bit heavy to hold

I wasnt sure if there was any difference between an e-reader and a kindle. They seem to be around a similar price. More research i guess.

I've got one.

Was very sceptical at first but I use it every day on the train to work.

Downloads are easy, and there are loads of free classics available...

The only thing I've heard people say against Kindle is the cost of new / popular books to download..

been considering one but still never got round to it..

I've got a Kindle and also read on my Android phone. You can sychronise the same book in different devices so take advantage of a short break to read without carrying the Kindle with you.

I'm a fan, and the new Kindle Fire looks interesting but it doesn't use e-ink so may not be so easy to read in the sunshine.

The screen is very good and easier to hold than a book. I like mine a lot. Last ages on a charge too as it doesn't consume power unless changing pages or something.
