Default range rover 4.0 v8 big end bearings.
i have been offered a year 2000 range rover 4.0 v8 with lpg but has slight big end knock. i wondered if these could be fitted without taking the lump out?

You can't repair any crank damage in situ putting new shells on a knackered crank will only kill the shells, so no point, but yes can be done.

If that it a version of the traditional rover v8 engine then i'd have thought rimmerbros.com will be able to sell you any parts you need!

you can whip em apart in situ, just inspect the inside of the shells if there ok and it was only a light knock you prop will get away with it
