Tried them & the biggest Toyo dealer Micheldever. Demon Tweeks are the only UK dealer to get a delivery in the last 6 months according to Toyo & they have completly sold out.

What else is their will then buy two for the front, need loads of grip for a bash at Brunters.

Rod,
Rent 4 Ring over at the Nurburgring have loads, I know this as I was stood looking at them on Monday. (stacked to the roof)

Depending on how quick you need it it might be worth a call and ask if they will courier it over, never know it might be reasonable.
Other option is find someone who's over there at the moment and get them to bring one back.

Is it size critical on the front?
I understand the rear needs to be more or less mm perfect but surely a slightly different size pair on the front wouldn't matter too much?

Its critical.

205/40 & 215/40 will fit 205/45 or 215/45 wont, anything wider also touches . Not going to start moving ride-height the car is near perfect with its current stance .

i needed a 215 35 19 toyo proxes the other day, usually i have no probs because everyone has them in stock but the only place i could find was http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/

i had to pay £30 more than i usually do but it was better than nowt and it arrived the next day.

they dont have the 888's you want unfortunately.

why does there seem to be a shortage of Toyo's around at the moment? one place i rang said at least 3 - 4 weeks before they would have more in stock.

A very strange twist.
Rang Lychford they have 2, but strangely Toyo who told me no stock existed in the UK yesterday rang them yesterday to buy back any stock of this size tyre they had for their own Sponsored cars. Luckly i rang first thing before he had chance to confirm anything with Toyo. VERY STRANGE !!!!!. I am of course not now sponsored by Toyo.

Well im sorted. Thanks to all who helped.

This dealer sold 37 888's to Micheldever the UK's biggest stockist last month. He now has 3 left . He said he's shocked at what is being asked for these tyres cos they are hard to get, he charged me his normal markup so £149 .

He cant get any from Toyo so hes going to try to get stock from Germany .

think it's just toyo, i know a lot of the time attack people are having trouble getting hold of certain sizes and we have to get them direct from toyo.

i was just about to pass toyo directs details to you rod but your sorted now

Rod,

Just imgaine the impact your car would have on Time Attack. Obviosuly it would need to be stripped out completely, but what a weapon it could be in the right hands!
