I used to love barryboys and the shitbox skodas from Hungary and eastern Europe,metros,corsa's,clios,fords just generally real shitboxes but lately they've been near enough picking on anything modified,I saw a really nice civic on there t'other day that the guy had spent serious amounts of cash on and all they did was ridicule it,about the only really fair point was that the boot looked a couple of mm out from the lights.I think there's a lot of middle aged nobs on there that don't realise the effort that goes into a lot of the cars on here,cars that a lot of them could only dream of affording to own!!

hes doctor'd that to make it look like the owner of the 3 door used a 1.6 shell to put cosworth bits in then crashed it the silly prick, also making jokes about a very recent tragic incident which makes him scum.

barryboys is full of purists who think everyone should drive standard mid-range euro-boxes, if anyone wants anything quick or sporty looking they think it is only ethically and morally correct if its a genuine exotic.
they are a bunch of anal yoghurt knitters who know fook all about cars.
it used to be funny when they picked on the proper chav'd up sheds but then they started picking on decent motors and wondered why they became regarded as cunts, and why they got legal action against them

iknow few people that post on there have tunned cars them selves they a lot of people on there that attend regular events they pick on the people that are idots alot of the time to get reactions.
sadly with the 3dr in a ditch after doing so much im not suprised that they found it

One of the guy's off there got hit at a show once, as he had been taking photo's of this other guy's car to put on barry boys and left a leaflet under his wiper for bait to get him on the website.
I think the other guy took offence though when he had the cheek to try and give him a barry boy award at a show lol.

I think you'll find a lot of the barryboys members drive modified cars, myself included. my last car was pushing out 478hp & 585lbs ft of torque - it certainly wasn't a "euro shitbox"
I've also owned a few fast fords, restored a S2 RST and been to many RS shows. Barryboys is about laughing at badly modified cars, the fact a car has had 60k spunked on it is besides the point, its still shopping trolley with a bodykit & "phat rimz".
Each to their own IMHO, its like looking at a picture of Jordan, some blokes love the fake tan, fake boobs, all show & no go look. While others prefer brunettes that suck like a dyson & don't feel the need to whore themselves on telly.

No, it WAS about badly modified cars, and it WAS funny. But now anything seems to be fair game, and it's full of self-indulgent, back-slapping pricks, intent on outdoing each other with their wit and repartee. The Sierra in this thread for example isn't barry in the slightest. Plus the images were deliberately posted out of sequence in a futile attempt to make it more 'barry'.
