I think you'll find a lot of the barryboys members drive modified cars, myself included. my last car was pushing out 478hp & 585lbs ft of torque - it certainly wasn't a "euro shitbox"
I've also owned a few fast fords, restored a S2 RST and been to many RS shows. Barryboys is about laughing at badly modified cars, the fact a car has had 60k spunked on it is besides the point, its still shopping trolley with a bodykit & "phat rimz".
Each to their own IMHO, its like looking at a picture of Jordan, some blokes love the fake tan, fake boobs, all show & no go look. While others prefer brunettes that suck like a dyson & don't feel the need to whore themselves on telly.

No, it WAS about badly modified cars, and it WAS funny. But now anything seems to be fair game, and it's full of self-indulgent, back-slapping pricks, intent on outdoing each other with their wit and repartee. The Sierra in this thread for example isn't barry in the slightest. Plus the images were deliberately posted out of sequence in a futile attempt to make it more 'barry'.
Agreed, the Sierra is hardly barry. It was a re-shell rather than a rep.

That thread was rightly locked by famine, I agree that there is nothing Barry about that cossie. Barryboys is still about all those things that made it funny in the first place. No point in trying to change peoples minds or opinions on the site, see my point about Jordan above
