Temporary Insurance
Hi guys,
Looking to insure myself on my brothers van for one day, never done this before.
How specific can I be with the companies? I probably need the van from about 3pm on the Saturday, until just after midnight - will I have to insure it for the whole weekend? Or can I do it from say 12pm Saturday - 12pm Sunday?
Am I better to try my own insurance company, or just shop around for the cheapest quote for day/weekend only?
Cheers
Keir

More than likely your existing insurer will not insure you, they won't insure a vehicle for use which already has a policy against it.
Your best bet is to use one of the temporary insurance companies above or speak with his insurer and ask them to add you there.
I do it with my girlfriends mums L200, it costs £40 a day on tempcover but £25 for 10 days or so via her insurer!
