My mates a traffic warden, and is not dead satisfied with his job. He hates giving tickets and has the record in his branch for giving fewest out.
PCSO's in my experience, love pretending to be policemen and generally harassing you. I guess some of them may get satisfaction from that.

id say some PCSO's do get some job satisfaction thinking they make a difference.
whereas all traffic wardens are cunts. Especially in stoke now where they are on performance related pay. Used to be about educating the public and only fining the obvious idiots. now they have been cut to minimum wage and get bonus'. also introduced night time parking charges which only make the council money because they know loads will get tickets as they have been free parking for years so havent noticed or assume there's no wardens late at night!! Cunts end of!!

Sorry I don't see why PCSO's are being thought of in a bad way to be honest? They deal with all the people who can't sort their own pathetic petty arguments out and allow the police to deal with crime.

To be fair... i don't see traffic wardens in a bad light either tbh.
If people weren't ignorant mongs and parked in proper places in the first place, maybe there wouldn't be a problem, traffic would probably flow better too.
Why should someone get away with parking illegaly and giving other people a problem because they have parked in a daft spot?
Same goes for getting a ticket 2mins after your parking ticket expires, get back to your car on time or put more money in the meter, don't blame it on a poor cunt doing his job!

Same here actually.. although I may be biased due to most of my family being coppers or ex-coppers.
Surely it's better to use PCSOs to do things like prevent members of the public from crossing a police cordon (e.g. at a crime scene where forensics etc are in doing their bit - I'm not talking about at a protest or anything like that) than it is to use a fully trained bobby to do the job?
(still wouldn't be one though!

Seem to work well enough in Lancashire. It isn't their fault they get abused and don't have the powers to deal with that effectively, they work fantastically well dealing with anti social behaviour, neighbourhood problems and dealing with petty issues. Maybe I'd suggest that the force which your 'good friend of the family' works within should support them more and train them better.

Shame that the PC's aren't willing to support them though. They'd soon complain more so if they weren't there at all (which is a possibility).
