Plasterboard on block or just a stud/partition wall?

If the former, use these: http://www.directbuildingproducts.co...s3.php?id=1525 - 12mm drill bit, jobs a good 'un

If the latter, you will have a few options:
- If it's a studwork wall - many brackets can reach between studs - two big screws into the studs will suffice. Other brackets have the option of using a 'spreader', which screws to the studs and bolts to the original bracket.
- If it's one of those 'egg box' walls, you'll have to either:
- a) cut it open, put a horizontal stud in where you want the tv to go, re-board, skim, etc; or
- b) use a pole mount - if there's a loft above the mount can go in the loft and you just have the pole sticking through, looks neat. if no loft then you'd have to have the mount showing, fixings into the joists.

nicely done yella - is that tilted down slightly? can't quite tell from the photo!

 

The wall i wanted to use is just platerboard no studding and thats more work than i would have liked to do so i guess ill have to use one of the outter walls as they are plaster on block.

Maybe half an inch , never noticed it till you said but yep a quick look says it's tilted slightly ...lol

 

Cool One thing I would say is, going by the pic which may not be accurate, your contrast setting is too high - you want it set so that the brightest white is just distinguishable from a slightly less bright white. If you do a google search for 'pluge pattern', save one to USB and show it on the screen that'll help you set them correctly

 

To be honest bud i think its more the camera settings on manual , in a beery state when i spotted this thread ....lol
