Default CAR FUKKED, NEED HELP *PICS*

Right, today i started to sort out the probs on my car, fukked gearbox to be replaced, shagged steering rack to be replaced, and leaking waterpump to be replaced...

gear box out, all was well, steering rack out.......

and i ordered the wrong fukkin one cos someone looked up my reg on microcat and told me its a flat pinion, not splined, and it IS a splined one in fairness i would have ordered the same one anyway as it was for 95> car is a 98.....

so take off waterpump, to find this.............

dont think it is the pump leaking, its the fukkin head gasket

just need confirmation before i rip the head off tomoz...

waterpump with rusty crusty bit round the top

cylinder head (shiny bit) and under rusty coloured shite above where pump goes

close up

bit further away.

so now im fukked to get to work next week as its gonna take a few days to get the right rack sent to me

and, to top it all off, its fukkin snowing and i aint got a car to go play in

Only need skimming if its warped at all. Get a PROPER straight edge and check. Not a plastic ruler but a real calibrated one.

yeah the pump and gasket looked ok, and if it were leaking i would have thought it would have just dripped down, not sprayed out everywhere.

quite a few months ago i did change the waterpump gasket as i though it was that that was leaking, but i had some work done on it in ford garage and they said it was the pump.....

but it fookin werent...

only thing with getting the head skimmed is that i cant take it anywhere, as i have no car now, and im gonna have to stay at my mums so she can take me to work

Amazing how we all depend on our car's

prob no need for a skim as such. just get it refaced , checked and cleaned.cost Ł30-Ł40.

Get yourself a pushbike to get to work....

but where the rust stains on the pump are, they are not by the places the ususally leak from.

so im 99% convinced its deffo the head.

ill take it off in a bit and have a look

anyone know if the focus ST170 multi layer head gaskets are direct fit? should be...
