You need one of these,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-FORD-KA-FI...1625f6ffefb133
Coupled with an ebay special chip, and about 15 stickers, that should see near 800bhp, even more on a healthy engine.

I'd like to know where 60k goes on ONE single yb engine.
I imagine the first attempt that went wrong and the next engine that did the numbers might total that.. But ONE single engine.. Really!?
EDIT: not saying it don't cost that, ive never built one so dont have a clue..but i'd like to see a break down of the figures. As that seems crazy.

in all seriousness its crazy even considering that kind of power and a yb when 800 bhp skylines are available from £19000 ready built, that particular one has only done 5k miles on fresh pro built engine aswell. ah well im off ploughing again now

Huge money needed for that sort of power and for a 2L engine really is asking far too much. Longevity springs to mind and small engines tuned this far wont have any.If you have huge sums to spend theres lots of quality rapid vehicles out there for far less money..

VAG 1.8T is another good engine for high spec, saw a fairly new 485bhp Polo in Redline mag a few issue's ago, that had the 1.8T.
4G63 in the Evo, another engine that responds well to tuning.
Basically, there's many other options you should consider first, don't just jump at the YB because it's known for high BHP, many other cars will manage that sort of power, but in reality, where the fuck are you actually going to use it?!?! The clutch you'd need to handle it would be violent and you'd soon get pissy with it on the road.
300-400bhp would be more than adequate, which is Scooby/Evo territoy, so you could soon surprise a few people! As well as some Beemers.

Im always amazed when people tell me what A 800BHP YB costs & how it cant be driven on the road because it wont last .
Perhaps i know what im talking about, because ive spent 4 years building such a car.

600, no big deal TBH, expensive but can be done with basically off the shelf parts.
800, not easy, there are a couple of tuners who have done it repeatedly that spring to mind (SCS and MAD) so TBH the cheapest way is going to be to just buy their development knowledge by commissioning an engine from one of them, rather than go through all the pain and failures yourself that you'll need to go through to get to that level.

You'd spend just as much tuning the RB25/6 engine as you would a YB. 2JZ engine is another option, the Supra. Standard 'box will take a good 800bhp so there's some money saved straight away

a skyline would be miles cheaper if its bought already done and they are available whereas 800 bhp cosworths are not, if they were theyd be much more £££ than a skyline.
