got another laptop infront of me when conect to net that usual old virus pops up with 60 secs countdown then switches off


i know how to get rid of it but.....


someone once told me when it comes up to click start / run then type blah blah blah and it ended it, which gave me time to download all the patches and updates etc



what do i type?

this is a wierd one

i open taskmanager and have a few process's called svchost....about 4/5 of them...what the fook are they?

when i try to shut down just 1 of them the 60 second countdown thing starts.

never had trouble with this blaster thingy mentioned about before...

Where the Oracle when u need him?

 

its a coont to get rid of, lots of varients.

In the mean time go Start -> Run -> "Shutdown -a"
in the box, and that will stop it shutting you down

 

i got that the first i i connected my pc to to the fooking net

in the end i kept stalling it till i downloaded serice pack2 and then it dissapeared

not sure if its fixed or not but its neverdone it since, just i had to deleate my norton off it though

 

any ideas Bill?
