powder coating or spray painting??

Default powder coating or spray painting??
want to redo the suspension bits.roll bar etc..ive heard/read that powder coating will lift off after a short while.is this true?? so was thinking about painting them as you would a car body..any suggestions whats best long term? dont really want to keep doing them..thanks
