A couple of S2 questions?
I know fook all about rst's so can someone please tell me....
Do they all have non height adjustable drivers seats as i find the seat too low!
Do the speedo's on any go to 170 as mine does and doesn't look modified?
I'm sure there will be more but thats it for now

The speedo is the same as any other Escort one of that year except for the 170 limit and hasn't had an after market dial kit fitted from what i can see
Why the fook didn't they put height adjusters on the drivers seats as they did on Cossies??? I guess i will just have to either take a cushion or carry out my idea to strip the whole interior and cage it

I'm 6' 1" Christian and the seat deffo seems too low for me anyway
Maybe it has something to do with the re-working of the floor/ tunnel on the Gartrac? Or just because i'm not used to it yet???

Spadgeroo, I'm sure you're taller than me, and I can't say I ever felt I sat too low in any of my ERST's Is the floorpan any lower due to the conversion?EDIT: gawd I'm slow at posting tonight
I'm pretty sure someone used to do a 170 factory look dial, and it'll probably have a cossie speedo head behind it. Std ERST was 140 max I think, long time ago now.
Spadge, it's deffo wierd driving an ERST after a Cosworth for a while, I had one after my Sapph' and it just didn't feel right, whereas I feel right at home in a Cosworth (and did previously in ERST's)

Someone has removed the standard rev counter and bodged in its place a naff boost gauge and above it stuck a large chrome turbo badge
Along side this attached to the side of the dash is a nasty huge rev counter complete with shift lights

The reason the seat feels too low is because the steering wheel seems too high! Maybe its just the way rst's are in comparison to Sierra Cossies?

Spadge the seat in the escort is very low compared to a sierra, I have both mate and when you go from one to the other its a BIG difference.
Markk I thought that all rsts had the scary shaking steering column as an optional extra, well mine has anyway
