Default Paypal question

Paypal have put a notice on my account due to having £1200 pass through it in 5 or more years since i have used it, something to do with money laundering investigations, they have asked for a credit card to be listed on the account and set up a direct debit to my bank account so they can deposit a set sum into the account and for me to tell them how much was deposited to varify my accounts validity.

Anyone else had this ? I am always wary of this sort of thing but comes up on the paypal site when i log in.

Cheers PaulT

Its all for security. I would rather they went OTT with the security precautions. May be a bit of a pain in the arse for you sometimes, but may save you getting fucked over in the future!
