Default got my new car tody, UPDATE 05/10/10

just got back after picking up my new sierra 3door base, 1.6 body is abslotley mint, just abit of rust on the rear osr arch but easly fixable . hopefully picking up a 3door kit in next few weeks, then look for a nice engine , thinking maybe a cossy v6 or a yb if funds allow, will get some pics up tomra

the 24v is a tough old beast. the p100 has had nearly 3 years of daily abuse! it gets warmed up, and ragged! never missed a beat apart from a breather coming off, and a exhaust leak. quality motors, and they sound epic!

it bolts onto the existing mounts so direct fit, if your going 4x4 u need an xr4x4 sump. and if you are going manual u need a 2.8 12v flywheel then if u are fitting an mt75 gearbox the top two bolts and the bellhousing are further apart on a YB bellhousing, so you need the bellhousing/whole mt75 box from an xr4x4. you need to come up with a downpipe as ford dont do one. if u use a type 9 the 24v will destroy it so just dont...
the easyest thing to do is buy an old xr4/xr4x4 with rot and swap all the bits.

im in the same boat with a very limited budget - but as i have just bought a e36 325i for a drift schlaag i may as well take my time and save a bit and put a cossie in there as i wont be happy with anything else.

PS

It took nearly 4 weeks flat out (2 weeks for my mate and 2 weeks for me) for the transformation, surprising how many hours are involved!
