From what i can see, the "o"ring on no 1 injector blew out, the old girl waqs goin well, then lost power, looked at the fuel pressure gauge and it had dropped massively, a quick smell of fuel then bang!! It nearly blew the bonnet off, massive flames from both sides of the bonnet, had flames in side as well!! My brother-in-law was taken to hospital with slight burns to face and arms while trying to put it out with our hand held extinguishers, he is ok but has no eyebrows, or eyelashes!! The arms on his fleese have melted!! I got a little bit but nothing like him!

Do as Danny says and also fit an engine bay extinguisher in case the un-thinkable happens again. Think I may also invest in one!

Hope your brother in law has a speedy recovery.

my thoughts aswell., might have had the pin in, I know before we race they come round and ensure the pins out as we leave the holding area, easy to forget on a track day tho, did it myself in one session at croft at the rsoc event, didn't want to leave it out all day for fear of some idiot pulling the handle outside the car!
