Default Guy in Work....

Right tell me your thoughts on this

In my work we dont get paid for our half hour lunch time.

So if you work 8-5 you put down 8.5 hours on the time sheet

Now this fu>ker in work works 7-4 everyday and puts down 9 hours. Everyone knows he works those hours but unlike the rest of us who write down start and finish time he just writes down 9 hours.

So basically he gets 2 hours extra pay a week cause we finish at lunch time on friday.

He has been here 3 years so if he has been doing it this long it adds up to a fair bit of money.

Question is how do you go about telling the boss this without blantenly going and telling him

Its a small company, only 14 of us.

Another problem is which wouldnt be fair is for the boss to say ok well just do it correct from now on. Why should he have got x amount of extra money for sitting on his arse at lunchtime.

Rant over.

Set up bogus email address, email the boss. But personally i would feel bad for doing it. He'll get caught out eventually.

He is a complete prick so i have no problems of doing it lol. There is several people in here know about his timesheets too anyway.

With such small company setting up email address wouldnt take long to work out or have a very good idea of who done it anyway lol

The recpetionist does that but he doesnt write what time he starts and finish's so she wouldnt know better.

Well its only like 12 cad designers in the office, we dont work as a team. Well on some big projects we work together or with a few people. Or in his case cause he is a muppet he basically works with a project manager who tells him what to do everyday.

The boss must know he isnt capable of his own projects. He started a month after me about 3 years ago and last year i got a 25% pay rise. He got 25p pay rise.

Were as most people like myself have thier own project to get on with and just ask the 2 boss's if there is any issue's.

as someone else said surely its the manager at fault, they should make sure everyone is signing in/out properly and to company rules etc, and also the person doing the pay or checking off the sheets should pick up on it aswell, especially seeing as there is so few staff.

Goes to show things have been abit relaxed at your work place and people not doing their jobs properly, if they were your company would have saved loads of money

Unless you're scared of this guy why don't you just tell the boss? Say it's causing tension among the team, and you'd like the situation regarding working hours clarified as you think some people are taking the piss?

I would.

Why even get involved? It's not your problem is it? So why be a grass? So what if he ends up with 2 extra hours a week? Not coming out your pocket is it? Unless you're bumming the boss, I wouldn't even get involved. If for some reason you feel you REALLY have to, then say something to the guy in question - don't be a pussy and go behind his back, say it to his face.

Imagine how fucked off you'd be if the shoe was on the other foot...

That's what you get for pulling a fast one.

FUCK the Billy Big Bollocks "grassing" shit. If YOU and the other guys you work with know he's pulling a stroke, make it known!

As for it "not being his problem" and it not "coming out of his pocket". Crock of shit! Could well become his problem if the company is being screwed out of time and money and someone has to get made redundant! And you can bet your left bollock it won't be the cunt who's on the fiddle!

Some people are so fucking stupid it's bewildering!

Whilst I agree with the principle, it's not as if he's being up front and public is he? I'm sure he doesn't come into work every monday morning and say "I just thought I'd let you know I'm gonna screw you out of a couple of hours pay this week!"

they must be quite stupid for a small firm not to pick up on his 'extra' hours....
ask yourself, what would happen if you told and everyone found out?....
could he do anything about it?.....
if you must tell, how about a letter made from different news papers,it would at least get a laugh and you could say'who would do a dirty thing like that'......lol

Where i work its common practice for some of the lads to put 39 hours + 10 hours at time and half every week, it could be agreed.

easy , i always find it easier for the boss to notice things when you do the same , start booking the same extra 2 hours and tell everyone else to do the same , if he dont notice then bonus you get an extra 2 hrs pay and if he does then you all state that whatever his name is doing it so seeing as everyone should be treated equally and fairly you would do the same. then the timesheets will tell the full story.
we've got a twat at work who thinks just because he's the foreman of the workshop (a bad one and couldnt run a fookin bath )gives him the right to walk round with a note pad in his hands and do fook all, we've all complained to the gaffer who didnt give a shit as long as the job got done but he soon got fooked off when all the jobs started coming in at double the time ,as i simply slowed down to his speed. when asked i told him yes i going at everyone elses speed from now on so sort it or dont come moaning to me , needless to say the note pad was taken away and he now uses his screwdrivers , but still not as much as the rest of us , but a little is better than fuck all

cheers paul

have you actually seen his payslip to confirm that he has been paid those extras hours?
it is one thing puting those times down on a timesheet, but another to be actually paid for it.
If payroll cant see that 1 employee out of 14 or so is different to the others in his job area, then the buck stops with them as they are the ones who are sanctioning his pay.

I don't really see how it's got anything to do with you? It's between him and the company.

Sounds like your envious of him to me? Surely if he earns 25% less than you it's no big deal? I could understand you being pissed off if you were both on the same money and he was pulling a fast one to get more. Still wouldn't grass him tho.
