Default What can you carry legally in a van for protection?

Im a Snap-on dealer and have heard on the grapevine yesterday that a group of around 15-20 kids aged 14-18 were asking about me and my van and what id do if they were to rush the van!
They say that theyve seen me parked at the garage on a wednesday each week serveing my customers. (went at a different time today) Now im all for doing the little bastards with any tool on the van, theres a few to hand lol but the police are involved and snapon are aware of the sittuation, so im wondering if there is anything i can keep on the van that i can legally carry and use if need be? Also how does the old saying "self defense" stand today?

legally you can carry NOTHING to defend yourself.

of course you could have a few long breaker bars convieniently placed in the cab for easy access to "demonstrate" to customers. then when you get attacked you picked it up and used it as an improvised weapon against overwhelming odds

Breaker bar to hand would be a good plan IMHO, nothing suspicious about that in a snapon van and a fiarly handy weapon.

Nothing I'd say....15-20 kids vs Snap-On van...your foot slipped off the clutch and accelerated into them because the handbrake cable snapped and your right foot has tourettes.

Guard dog in the van?

Well to be honest the breaker bars and hammers have moved up the van and within easy reach and ive just kept an eye on whats around, the chances are nothing will happen but ive been asked to see if there is anything available and snapon are looking into this as a number of dealers have been atacked/kidnapped and there priority is our safety

see no one is taking it seriously

a MP5K PDW with a screw on silencer and 3 30 round magazines is perfect!

fits in glovebox
easy to load
easy to fire
compact enough to wield from within the vehicle and tight spaces/close quarters
good rate of fire
accurate for the barrel length.
folding stock for the odd longer shot (to take out the one who runs - no witnesses!)

come on guys, do it properly.

your forgetting its surprise attacks. by the time hes got through the roof hatch, and made ready then the targets would be too close.

an MP5 can be used much closer up!

Firstly it's probably worth reducing stock levels so that your losses will be as low as possible.

Secondly, either get a mate or two to go with you or befriend a local hard-nut who they know of and won't want to annoy.

let em know the prices of the tools on board that should scare the shit out of em-it does me

as i understand it you can use anything that is reasonable to have on board for daily use so as said breaker bar but against that many i`d give it legs

thats probably the best easiest thing to do, or find out who the 'hardest' one is & give him some treatment as a warning to the rest.

Get a fire extinguisher, large one with water and mix in some foul smelling substance, and pressurize it. when they come splash the shit out of them, if the police ask say you thought they were running from fire and unfortunately it went off a bit early.
