Default Peoples thoughts on this statement please...

One of the lads on another forum just picked up his "375bhp" supra...

"oh my days. what a fun drive home yesterday. raced a porsche gt2, m5 and an audi TTs and cained them all."

they really that quick with 375bhp?

TT, yes. M5 possibly, 95% of people really wouldn't have a clue what a GT2 was and wouldn't be able to tell one from a c2/c4 with an aerokit.

I agree, there's more bullshit in the statement that he saw all these cars on his way home from work than the fact he actually beat them.

not to mention i fucking LOVE porsches,,,, live in central londona and used to work opposite "Jazz" porsche specialist,,,,,, and i hardly see a porsche GT2...... did your mate collect the car from somewhere near the nurburgring ?

Msport 5 series look like M5's.... they are usually diesel and easy to spot,,,,, cause you will be flying past it in a 375bhp car thinking your caining it OR the bloke driving it is too busy talking on hes mobile that he dont even realise he is racing you and driving with the cruise control,,,, prob holding up hes mate hes talking to on the phone behind him in his porsche GT2 on there way back to there office

In a nova xe, not sure whats more believable, your story of mine !

Either way it was at the ring and I'll happily admit they weren't trying even if others on the day liked to think they actually were quicker than one LOL

I guess he's just excited at his first fast car and got a bit carried away, daft thing is in a few years he will no doubt look at a 375bhp supra the way a lot of us would now, ie be a bit underwhelmed.

Would love to bump into him when im out in the nova

Ah so that's who it was, I raced a guy in my GT2 the other day and he absolutely gubbed me, i think it was a Supra.
As for the M5 comment, no way in hell, if he even managed to pass one the M5 would keep going well beyond what the "Soop" could do.

Depends what stretch of road it's on and who's driving.

Even from the way it's worded it sounds like a load of crap to me. BUT, it is perfectly conceivable that a 375bhp Supra could beat an M5 on the road.

E24 or E28 M5 wouldnt stand a chance against a 375bhp supra on accelration, and IIRC even the E39 has a speed limiter at 155 which that supra would piss past.

Rare cars now the older ones, but then so are GT2's and he found one of them no problem
