i was going to go and look at that a few months ago when it was a bit cheaper and not broken and was advised by a freind who knew the car to stay away,if you could get it at the right price it would be well worth the buy but not at that price

Why take a picture with wiper's up? I know it's a dead minor thing, but it annoys me when people put so little effort into taking photos when they want to sell a car!

totaly agree, im in london so for me to even consider it the seller would need to come down with the price, especially since the dead box.

can you tell me why your friend said stay away from it?

It's a friend of a friends car. It's sold and going to Orkney going by his Facebook.

My friend owned it before him.

Same one? You sure? My mate took it in a trade from wales or something.

Hi I'm the owner of the car, feel free to ask me any questions on the car. The car is mechanically sound (apart from gearbox obviously), has a very strong engine which uses no oil and water, it is completely solid underneath as well as the body. As with any old car it has few minor points but willing to discuss these with any potential buyer. Certainly no rot on the car and it has never been welded.

In reply to the post about the guy who's mate said to stay away, I would like to hear the reason(s) for this, my mate had the car advertised at £2800 in february on Pistonheads, I bought the car the same month. I first advertised it on Pistonheads at £1900, and recently reduced it to £1650 so it has never been advertised cheaper than that! It has been provisionally sold to a guy from Orkney as Chop has said, I think its worth that money all day long.

Feel free to contact if interested, but as I said its provisionally sold so may not matter.

Oh and to the wipers... Cut me some slack
Thanks
Anzie

I'd chop your phone number out mate - post will be deleted otherwise as 'for sale' posts are banned unless you're member!

The guy who had it before my mate bought the car from Wales and was given a spare engine with the car(the original in the car blew not long after he bought it). May see the guy tonight so will certainly ask, I recall it being a low mileage engine but will try and confirm it for you.

Car looks decent enough, would probably break for that.I expect it's a type 9 box but I'm sure mtx75 would fit without too much persuasion, even a t5?

i see this v6 and thought it looked rather nice.

since this one is now sold i may well just sit on the money until the one i want becomes availble as its stunning.

the car is known on here so i wont be saying too much about it.
the owner may well read this and if you are, hurry up and let me know what your doing mate as the money is burning a hole in my pocket, lol,

Another timewaster messing around, that's after giving me £100 deposit. Don't know what planet people are on, but you would think he would have booked the ferry not leave until day before to realise there was no space!

Car for sale only for 2 weeks, at same price as the ad on PH, no offers, if not I'm fixing it up.

a bit off topic but remember my sapphire, the guy sold it recently on ebay with the shortest crappiest decsription and the pictures were rubbish.4 pics,2 the same from my photobucket account of the spare wheel well,1 from the back left after the car was washed and another with the car parked so you could only see the back left again, complete rubbish but it went for strong money.
with the saph in the ad,the 4x4 mt75(i think) box from the later xr4x4 is stronger and has the correct bolt pattern but you need to get the tail casing without the pto from a late sapph,1 with the reverse beside 4th gear.any early saph has the box with the seperate bellhousing which will bolt to the bellhousing in the v6 saph but wont last long as,a they are ancient and b,wont take that much power for long.i broke 3 in my v6 24v saph.i actually thought that was it as it was imperial blue too but it isnt.
