whats the fastest car you could get for under £1000 could it be a volvo t5 or toyata supra what do you guys think £1000 could get you.

prob a t5, i had 1 a few years ago and it would pull tp 140+ no prob
and could still knock down tower block with it
but they're heavy on front tyres and petrol

you can just about pick up the first of the bmw 750s for a grand, once you take the limiter off it'll probably see 165-170mph.
all round though, Id say you'd have to go with a uk subaru impreza turbo - 145mph, 0-60 sub 6secs, out handle just about anything, heavy on the juice tho' if you start booting it about!

Anyone trying to buy a quick car for 1k is skint mate which is worrying when buying a quick car.
Anything fast you buy for a grand will need work or have done starship enterprise miles.
Or be unreliable like a rover/supra!
best bet is a clio IMO as its easily repaired. When you start going for subarus/supras/turbos etc etc there asre going to be big bills ahead.
