a question for the PF relationship experts!
Was out with my m8 on friday night and he told me about a situation he is in I gave him my opinion but thought you lot might like to give yours.
Basicly he was on a works do a few weeks ago in spookily the very same pub! he was with about 12 blokes and one girl, he has told me about this girl before and that he really likes her (he is married BTW) I have seen her once and she is very fit! she split up from her partner at the end of last year and started seeing his workmate.
she is an mechanical engineer so quite high up in the ladder they are both much further down the ladder. he said the night went well until the 3 of them him/girl/boyfriend) ended up in a nightclub, ,He said out of the blue she wispered in his ear "I hate your wife at times" she has met his wife on a few occasions but didn't have much discusion with her and haven't ever argued. He doesn't know exactly what she meant as the numpty didn't ask the obvious question "why?", he said he asked her "do you mean what I think you mean?" at which she apparantly nodded he then told her "he has fancied her for ages.."
they text each other the next day and she told him she just wants to forget it "for both there sakes" and still be friends.
he is fine with that but said work has been funny in the last 2 weeks and there hardly speaking.
He is confused as to what "I hate your wife at times" could mean, I told him it had to be that she does like him and hates it when she see's him with his wife instead of her, but IMO she then bottled it the next morning and is feeling guilty about her boyfriend. but it could be something else and he's worried he has made a tit of himself for opening up to her!
what you reckon??

He's risked his marriage and made every one of his future work days possibly very awkward, especially if his work mate who shes been seeing finds out to. Work and pleasure really shouldnt mix imo!

If anyone was to say they hate my lass, i'd pull them aside and ask for what reason. Yeah jealousy is a whore but telling someone you hate their loved one is abit OTT.

Being married he shouldn't have said anything IMO, typical men forgetting what they have at home

I think I might know your M8, tell him that although it's very tempting it is also very dangerous territory and best avoided.
I’ve been is similar situation and read the wrong signs and got egg on my face by asking a woman out. Also I’ve very unfortunately totally missed the signs from a woman and found out too late to ask her out.
