Default Which 125 Enduro? Cheap!

I recently passed my CBT and im looking to start out on an enduro type bike so i can have abit of offroad practice aswell as on road.

I only plan on having the bike for as long as it takes for me to become comfortable with riding so i can do my full test so cheap is the key for me.

Im thinking cheap as possible preferably 4 stroke any suggestions?

I see alot of very cheap quite new import bikes on ebay but im weary of those and if i could get a better make for peanuts i would rather!

Thanks

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GET A CHINESE ONE!!!!!

my mate had a moped and in 400 miles the fork seals had gone, everything had rusted up and the front tyre never stayed inflated from new

imo get a jap one

im also looking to get a 125, did you have to do a geared cbt or just an automatic one?

Depends what you call "offroad"
Splashing through a few puddles or doing a few green lanes or maybe a few events?
The only one that will take any kind of abuse and take some heavy landings etc..
I'd go with a Ktm exc 125 very competitive will take abuse road reg'd and full power
Not "Cheap" though you,ll pick a half decent 05> for Ł1600+
Would,nt waste my time with the likes of Dt 125,s etc

all 4 stroke 125 will be slow end of story, especially with a big heavy enduro frame.

if it was my money and i wanted a 125 it would be buying a dt125r
fast and reliable 2 stroke fun if you find a looked after one, plus pretty capable off road.

ktm are great but very expensive

As your limited to 125cc it really needs to be a 2 stroke , equivalent 4 stroke would need to be 250cc to get simlar performance.... The Kawasaki kmx 125 is also a gd bet , you can also change the links in the power valves to give extra hp from the stock 12 upto about 18 which makes a big diffrence...

Offroad wise it would just be a few green lanes maybe a dash through the woods on the way home etc lol

I need a sub Ł500 bike the cheaper the better tbh

Ł500 is not a lot of cash but you could get something that needs some work for that sort of money

good luck

I have a Yamahaha XT125X... I use it mainly for commuting and just getting some practice in for my big bike test ( next month hopefuly ). They do 2 versions, the Enduro and the Supermoto (something like that).. )One comes with road tyres, and the other with more knobbly ones. (sorry I know fook all about bikes, thats about as technical as I get). Its a nice bike, not very fast even for a 125, but its ok. Im not a small bloke but I still manage to get 70mph... Just watch out the speedo is set to the model you get as mine was out and had to be reset.

Its 4 stroke, and is very economical.
