Just ordered some new ST170 discs and pads for my RST.
Black Diamond Dics and EBC Green Stuff pads...will this Combo be ok?
As I've heard alot of bad reports on EBC brakes was it the discs or the pads?

Had EBC on the Fiesta and they were very good 
Had them on the RS and they were pants.
Bro had an EBC clutch and that was pants.
Send the pads back and ask for Mintex.
Actually ask for pads made from liquorice just not EBC's

I used to have EBC discs and pads and they warped instantly.
I normally use 3G discs now with EBC Greenstuff for normal driving, the discs don't warp and you don't get too much brake dust.
EBC discs are really poor quality. You should be okay with that combination but EBC are not the best pads.

i had EBC disks and pads on my old rst. lasted me ages with no problems 
I did buy some black diamond discs before that and they warped within 500 miles
but that could have been caused by the green stuff pads.

Had EBC reds on my saff, they seemed really good!?
Now got Ferodo pads and AP 4 pots ready to fit... If EBC pads are as bad as people make out, ill prob put my head thru the screen as soon as i brake!!

First and foremost - EBC are CHEAP! 
For standard cars they're fine and something like greenstuff give a reasonable improvement for very little cost.
They just dont like too much abuse!

putting the cart before the horse IMO, pay for something then ask if its ok... 
the turbo grrove diska are quite good, but eh pads are total poo, ive out braked evos running redstuff on std ford pads on my escos - and i u dont belive me go and speak to cryptwalk on the MLR, ive seen redstufs pouting smoke out nearly on fire coming doen teh cat'n'fiddle.
ferodo ds2500 or pagid blues are te only way
