Your mail to eBay UK Customer Support (KMM2100294V57437L0KM)
Hello,
Thank you for contacting eBay about an E-Mail you received that appears
as though it is an authentic E-Mail from eBay. We will investigate this
situation immediately.
Please be advised that there have been cases where people have attempted
to gain access to an eBay member's personal information by sending
"spoof" E-Mails. Spoof E-Mails intentionally give the false impression
that they have been sent by eBay to solicit people to transmit their
account information.
Based on your inquiry to eBay, the E-Mail you received was likely to be
a spoof. If you entered personal information such as your password, or
credit card numbers into a web site based on a request from a spoofed
email, you need to take immediate action to protect your identity. For
information on spoof emails and what action you need to take if you have
entered in your personal information, we strongly encourage you to read
our spoof tutorial:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/education/spooftutorial/
If somebody else but you should know your eBay password, please change
it immediately:
To change your password, please follow the steps below:
1. Click on the "site map" link located at the top of any eBay page
2. On the Site Map, scroll through the "Services" section
3. Locate "Registration"
4. Click on the "I forgot my password" link and follow the
instructions on that page.
Keep in mind the spoof@ebay.co.uk email address is reserved for handling
reports of attempts to impersonate eBay. In order to dedicate resources
to investigating this type of situation, please submit any other
questions or concerns through our Help System, which can be accessed by
clicking on the Help button at the top of any eBay page.

NEW Account Guard!
Account Guard is a new eBay Toolbar feature that enables you to protect
your eBay account information by warning you when you are on a
potentially fraudulent (spoof) Web site. The Account Guard feature also
enables you to report a spoof Web site. Once a site has been verified by
eBay to be fraudulent, that information will automatically be
distributed to all other eBay Toolbar users, warning them about the
spoof Web site.
For more information about the New Account Guard please click on the
following link:

received.
We appreciate your efforts in helping keep eBay a safe online
marketplace.
