Jeep grand Cherokee LPG or merc ml cdi.I tried a navara for towing a few times but it was pants as the back ends so light but the ranger looks more sturdy.I've heard they only do 20ish mpg?I get near as damn it 30 on the ml and between 30-32 on the Cherokee (equvalent).Strong as fuck as well,my trailor is a good one but quite heavy although it never wobbles.

They don't all(models) have to be approved, they have blanket approval, same as the original 3 door cossie did, when that was fitted with a custom made witter tow bar for ford even before the car was released.
The info about the weights etc is on the plate on the car and that is all that needs to be followed.
The confusion occurs because FORD do not offer a tow bar for a particular model in the range ie cossie st etc, this is more to do with the design and the bumpers needing to be cut on some kits, ford told me to tow with a cossie I would need better brakes and suspension, but a 1.3 L sierra is better ?

one of those sport st transit sort of things

or a landorver, shite mpg but you wont get stuck anywhere even towing

my uncle had his caraven parked on grass and his nissan 4x4 couldnt shift it and my dads even with its road tyres moved it easily and if they were built pre 73 there tax exempt

get a diesal and run it on chip fat
