Default Sorry Guys (Bought An M5)

I just couldnt say no.

They are an awesome car and i didnt have my last one for nearly long enough, so i went and done it.

My biggest problem was that i was really worried i would be dissapointed with the FRS. I had A Cupra R and was dissapointed after the remap etc etc and never felt it really went that well.

I expected the FRS to be a lot like that so decided against it.

Then A Cheap M5 came up for sale, With all the toys and a very good price from a trader that had taken it in Part X.

So off to wales i went to pick it up!

And im pleased to say the car is like BRAND new. Its clearly had some paintwork but what 8 year old car hasnt.

Its just so much more car for the money and although a little dated and horrible wood interior i can live with that for the sheer Power of the thing.

So plans are to give it a service, Upgrade the plugs, Polybush front end New Plates and ive been looking at remaps but i am going to ask stu for his advice, I was gutted when my last one sold so im hoping to keep this for a while.

Its just had new front disks and pads and New Rear Tyres and drives like a dream.

Im sure im going to get some abuse but im happy.

What do you think.

im sort of thinking that myself..

When you put the two next to each other of course the focus rs is better looking but in every other way the BMW is the better car.

Im going to get a saff as a second car though.

I Agree theres a grey tri on ebay but its Ł300 and missing ashtray bit which makes it a bit pointless.

Will keep my eyes open.

theres an idea, I wonder who could do that, would love it like a piano black or even silver would look nice against the outside paintwork

Looking good ,must admit painted would look better than the carbon wrap ,as people would always be saying whys it not real carbon in an m5

Any top notch painters round my way that could make it hard wearing, Does it just need like 10 layers of laquer?

Oh and New GB plates ordered already, Now to wait for stu for advice lol.

Anyone know if the chip takes the limiter off?

gorgeous motor

have a read of this mate: https://passionford.com/forum/pictur...on-pg-2-a.html

this is what Stu was saying needed to be done from the above thread

Change the front control bushes to powerflex, all disc pads for a tried and tested set that cope well with two tons, do the airflow mod for the front discs, change teh long life super 4s for a nice set of Iridiums, throw two K&N panels in the airbox's, 2 new pollen filters, change all fluids and filters, including box and diff then drive and forget.

There's a load of bushes on the front end mate but I'd imagine it's the big ones right at the front of the car that connect to the hub via an almost twisted piece of metal with a balljoint on the end.the standard bushes look really wank tbh.any decent paintshop can sort those trims, worth paying a tad extra if you can to get them to cut and polish them nice if your going for piano black as it'll look fucking stunning!!!Great choice of car btw!!!
