I bought 2 cars from same bloke recently and i've nto received the logbooks for them, so he's either not sent them of or they've been lost, i think more likely he's not sent as there was 2 logbooks and i've not received either.

i've misplaced his number and i have the little green slip, but where do i stand?

do i have to pay to apply for 2 logbooks? cheers

Aslong as youve got the little green slip you wont have to pay ive just done it with a fiesta i bought a couple of months ago theres a form you get from the post office then you just send it off with the green slip

no you dont!!

if you have the green slip you can get the log book for free.

my mum gave me her old g reg micra but she could only fined the green slip, i went to the post office got a form filled it out and supplyed them with the green slip.

i got the logbook through free of charge!!

but my mum got fined Ł40 for not declairing that she had sold the car

they told her she had to apply for the logbook in the futcher then sell the car.

so yes you can get the log books for free but he will get a Ł80 fine

as long as the green slip you have is the most recent one! you can ring dvla at find out by quoting the number on it. if it is then ur ok, if not your fuckd

i bought a cossie in 2007 and the guy never sent me the logbook, i wrote a letter to the dvla and filled in a form from the post office with a cheque for 25 quid and two weeks later i had the logbook.
