4x4 tps? question

Default 4x4 tps? question

does a 4x4 throttle pos sensor go from 0v at closed to 5v fully open or is it 5 closed and 0 open?

Yes, 4x4 tps is 0-5v while the 2wd is 5-0v.

excellent

i take it if it was a 2wd one and you needed it to be 0-5 then you could just cut and swap the wires over?

None of em are actually 0-5v and thats why you CANT "just" swop the wires over

ok doesnt really matter anyhow,

glad you came along stu as i was going to pm you what do you know about the granada cosworth ecu's?

if you havnt read it already im looking at using a granny auto box on a 2.0ltr cossie engine.
im just triying to find out if, if i use the granny ecu just to run the auto box and not the engine does it have a shut down/limp home mode? or will it just throw a mental attack at me?

You want to try and run the ecu with ZERO sensors attatched to it?

no, im going to give it power, tps, map, and what ever else it needs to run the auto box. but obviosly i wont be using that engine so the injector feeds ect wont be pluged into anything do you think the ecu would still be able to work the gearbox or would it just shut down when it sees there are no injectors ect plugged in?
