Default I-Phone question about Airplane mode...
I am going on holiday tomorrow and i am taking my Iphone to use as an Ipod.....

I dont want to the phone to be working while i am out there as i will just have work calls all the time but i want to use it as an Ipod....so if i switch it to Airplane mode will this stop the phone working as a phone so to speak??

yep, tho gps, bluetooth and wifi get disabled too, dunno if you would use them abroad or not tho, i do.

Airplane mode means all communications are disabled, including phone and text messaging. You still have access to music, videos, etc

just turn the internet roaming thing off as well, my mate got charged loads as forgot hahaha!! although was good telling him i told you so lol

Internet roaming wont be an issue if you are in airplane mode as it stops that anyway.

You'll even find the battery lasts well compared to normal too

But just to make sure if you want music for long periods of time, tesco have the pro-tec battery powered cases for 25 quid at the moment.

My iPhone has gone from not lasting a day to lasting over 2 days between charges since I started using one when out and about.

It more than doubles the battery size when in use.

Its bulky and not ideal because of that, but for something like lieing next to the pool with your phone next to you its ideal.

Its a cover, and its got a batter built into it, the iphone connects into it and you can use the battery from the cover to charge the iPhone up.
