Default Mondeo Tddi Problem

Right just changed the clutch on my mondeo...did a full service air filter/oil/and fuel filter.. .did have a problem with it starting wasnt earthing at all to the starter motor so had to take a earth lead and made sure the starter motor was earthed..got that sorted..anyway got it running sweet as a nut...when at rest i can re it upo to easily over 4thou...but if i drive it and take the revs over 2thou it cuts out and dies on me..but i can drive the car and keep the revs under 2thou and it's fine..so Im perplexed on this one..checked the pipes and they're all tight no leaks from what i can tell.. so anyone got any ideas as it's doing my nut in...got a road trip planned for tomorrow off to pick an RS up..and need the mondeo to get me there...

right the engine is running sort of rough..supposed to be idle at 900rpm. it wont rev beyond 2k..while in gear...out of gear gets to abouts 3k then cuts out..

So I think it's the sensor pick up for the fly wheel.. think it's on it's way so will get one tomorrow and see how it runs then.. before I set off for this RS..anyone else got any ideas please..

Without getting the codes read you're shooting in the dark. Unless you have access to another Mondeo and can swap bits about you could go on forever changing sensors before you find the culprit.

dam..one thing i do know is the fkywheel sensor got broken so i just repaired it aso it was late and no where was open..hence why I think its that sensor...so it just might not be picking up the info from the flywheel correctly.. might go and get one see if that sorts it out..as the car was running fine before i did the clutch..and service...cheers for the info guys..
