Default Anyone know the problem with this car ?
its my mates mk4 golf gti 1.8 20v turbo

starts up, misfires and cuts out ???

he has changed the plugs and leads up to now......

any suggestions ?

shame the scrapage scheme's finished just the type of crap it was designed to get of the road !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sure the fuel pump is running after start up not just priming and switching of
project rs is offline

Fuel cut off.also,try the battery connections especially earths as I've had exactly the same prob on a gti,but the clue was no dash lights,worked fine after that.

Not the fuel pump, it starts up, drives but starts coughing and spluttering and playing up when it gets warm ?
