over fuelling cossie help!!!!
Right iam getting 250km to tank of petrol, my cars is only stage 1 at the moment i did have greens in it chip etc and i thought the 3 bars was fucked so i put it back to stage 1 and it is still the same and it doing my head in.
I have changed the coolent sensors no joy i've tryed to 2 different ecu a few different chips 2 at stage 2 and 2 at stage 1.
I did have the co set to 3.5 but ain't got a clue whats it at now.
The car drives o.k but every time i give a little and let off tonnes of black shit comes out the back. Please help before i sell the fucking thing.

I'd start by setting the co to what the chip supplier suggests, but 180-240 odd is what I was getting before seeing the light and going aftermarket management, 340-380 now same trips etc.

I would first check the phase alignment, the distributor has a scribe mark on the top edge under the dust cover(may not be there-lost!!) you see when removing the cap, put the engine at TDC, this is the LUG nearest the groove in the crank pulley, make sure both cams pulleys pointers are pointing at each other, ie inlet at 9 o'clock, exhaust pulley at 3 o'clock.
The rotor arm should be pointing exactly central with this scribed line in the dizzy body, if this is just one tooth out it will over fuel massively.
Whose chip is it, as there are some dreadfully bad ones out there, black soot indicates as I'm sure you know extreme rich running, if the chip is a Engine (dis)Advantages chip then that is your problem!!
Make sure the injectors/map sensor etc are all correct for the spec of the chip.
Do you have a rolling road where you are ?
