Default 450 brake at the wheels

ive been looking to by a saph for a while and ive been told of 1 that a mate owns (havnt seen him for a while)

he says its a big spec genuine 450 atw.

whats that gonna drive like on the road? is it a spin up in 3rd in the dry sorta thing? dunno if im feeling that lol

would it make sense to drop the power down and sell the big turbo for a smaller one etc?

ive had a 300 brake cossie if it helps

thanks peeps

well i've drove my 200sx when it was 420@wheels and it was pretty mental, but I did go from a 80 bhp corsa 1.2 It's 355@wheels atm and 1st, 2nd no chance, the odd time 3rd at the wrong sped it'll spin in the dry. in the wet dont even think about it, 85/90 as it comes on boost in 5th and it steps out!

Depends what you want from the car and what you want it to do!

Mines running 500 although not at wheels and is really nice to drive. It grips really well once in third and am on STD beam at the mo. Although not too low on the back. Some people with stage3 cossies say theirs wheelspinning in4th ect must be going some.

Mine is 411 at the wheels. With Toyo 888 i get no wheel spin in 2nd gear. the back end twitches a bit and the wheels try to spin but so far so good. I have the standard rear beam still as well for now.

id like a beam next for mine when i have some spare cash.. although ive been in a well specd 3door with a beam and 888s and still felt it struggle for grip in 2nd.. ill try some 888s on the back of mine next although its not too bad with the paradas.. cant stop looking at evo s now after seeing them at coombe flying round the track all day without breaking...

Pretty quick I should imagine, I reckon if you put a pic on here of the engine bay people could tell you whether its genuine.

I would not see the point in buying it, if your gonna drop the power etc, might aswell go out and buy a stage 3 cossie.

sort them out in what way?

did yours not run over 500bhp with the only mods to brakes or drivetrain a set of 300mm ap 4 pots??

i wouldn't call that sorting it out.

infact was it not over 700bhp doing well over 180mph with no bucket seat, harnesses, cage etc.

235/40/17

They actually measure something like 243 wide though so fairly wide for a saff. Arch trimming required.

Very rarely do i get wheelspin in the dry

Iv got a square tarmac grp a rear beam and mag rear arm set up with 9 inch rear diff
grp a spec tarmac mag billies and springs and wrc rear arb set up..
The front is wrc front cross member, tcas, billet hubs compression struts etc ..
It handles loads better than in that vid on slicks mate,i was on 225 888s that were shit for my car...but yes it handles really good for 2wd,i reckon its weight helps through the left right bends..

cheers danny

8x17 Koni shocks and Ahmed springs. Had to near on remove the inner lip of the rear arches. Part of it is down to the squat characteristics of a rwd saff and the obviously shit rear beam that allows the wheels to move.
