TBH i dont think anything will come of it, not for a first time offence anyway!! If i was a persistant user or caught with a joint in me mouth while driving then i could understand it!!

has weed been regularly smoked on a massive scale by everyone in western society for thousands of years???
No, it was a very low scale thing.
the point is we live in a society where our government has decided that all severely mind altering drugs are illegal with the exception of alcohol.
if you applied the governments own rules and beliefs then alcohol too should be illegal. and that is the point.
the hypocracy in the law is clear to see.....
changing to a society that accepts such drugs in moderation is not likely to happen any time soon.
quite frankly could you trust the entire population having free and easy legal access to loads of drugs???? the government looks at alcohol and assumes the same lack of discipline and lack of self control would happen with illegal drugs if made legal.
remember most of our MP's and Lords are old farts who mutter "the youth of today" after seeing silly teens and young people destroying the town centre every weekend while blind drunk. And you think those same people would warm to the idea of legalising all drugs???? come on now......

the worst point about it is it makes you so lazy but its such a nice buzz, it also leads onto harder drugs there is no doubt on that.
its deffo better than drinking though if everyone smoked a spliff a day crime would drop by 60%

I know plenty of people who regularly use illegal drugs and manage to hold down very good jobs, look after their families and generally contribute usefully to society.
There are plenty of wasters who don't do drugs.. how about exiling them?

As i said "most" I lived with my ex who did weed for 3 years and it does fuck with your head eventually! I know full well the effect's it had on her and it wasnt pretty so much so that caused me to leave her!

'Experts' do say that if you smoke before 16 then there is a higher chance that you will develop mental issues!! You dont no me so cant say that my mind has been fucked up by using cannabis!!

Go down to your local a&e on a friday or saturday night, sit there all night and see how many weed users are admitted compared to people pissed up!! How many pot heads do you see in hospital cos they fell thro a window or got in a fight?? Drinkers are a much bigger drain on the society in that respect than smokers

Hasnt had no effect on me tho!! Ive smoked every day for four years (well, until this week) and nobody has come up to me when ive not been smoking and said your a pot head!! Ive had my job for 6 years, will happily smoke here when im on me own, have had clients come in when ive felt fucked and they have said nothing, my boss hasnt said a word and my parents are none the wiser that im a user!! I had been with my gf for 6months before she knew i smoked
