not a wasp or hornet, i think its called a horse fly. this is a hornet, look at the size of the fucker! half the diameter of a pint glass!

Fucking Horse Fly. Hate the damn things. Ive been bitten twice this year by them, first one swelled up on an area about the size of a watermelon, second one was only like a grapefruit.
Always have to get some antibiotics for them cause they make me feel all flu-like and wheezy.

Got bitten on the back of my calve by a bastard horsefly a week ago when changing a battery for my girlfriends dad.
Felt it bite straight away and swiped it away, turned around to carry on and caught the fucker out of the corner of my eye go in for another pop, spent about a minute pissing about trying to avoid and swipe it with no success, but the big bastard must have got tired and landed on the tyre, so I took great pleasure in flattening the cunt, who has left me with a massive red swollen bitemark ever since! Should have trapped it and pulled the fuckers wings off!
