I haven't myself but know a few that have and all is fine.you can deffo go down early to view and I'd recommend that if your not 100% sure what your buying.I've heard they put a lot of extra charges on top, well actually I've seen that as we recovered a mondeo recently and the driver showed me a price list for a car he'd just delivered, guy won the auction for £525 but ended up paying £630 with all the charges BUT that was delivered to his door from Bristol to Swansea so that's not silly IMHO.Be careful as a lot of cars we recover have major mechanical faults hence why I think they've been written off,I've never seen an assessor drive a car so he won't know if the box is fucked etc plus copart only move them round the yard so they won't know if 5th is missing etc or things are dodgy when it gets warm, head gasket and so on.not putting you off but be aware and make contingencies.also don't forget 99% of the cars won't have a mot or v5,flat batteries, stereos taken out, spare wheels etc so there's £100 odd before you start.believe me,it all adds up,try and get one that hasn't been stripped as all the little clips, bolts, bulb holders, trims really start making a big dent in your profit or even costs.I'm in the trade myself and as discussed on another current thread on here unless your either buying something you don't care about particularly and will drive as is or you have,or have access to the parts at very cheap prices.
