Default anyone used halfords mixed paint?

has anyone painted a car/panel with the halfords mixed paint in a pot? bought some today to spray one of my cars as my usual supplier was closed. i always use 2k stuff, and stock 2k thinners/lacquer etc. thing is the halfords bloke/anyone in the shop didnt know what the paint was or what the mixing ratio was. something tells me i've painted with it in the past and thinned it 50/50. its just a single solid coat paint and im sure ive always used 2k thinners with it so i dont think it would be cellulose based? my usual paint from the paint shop i mix 2:1 with hardener and 20% thinner. all i really want to know is the correct mixing ration for the halfords stuff...

Got my paint from halfords that i sprayed my engine bay in on my resto finish its of very top quality. Would happily go back as its 40-50% cheaper than all the paint suppliers in my area.

just to update everyone, i painted the car in question and mixed the halfords paint 2:1 with hardener and 20% thinners same as i do with the paintshop stuff, got a decent finish so seems to work!! (it was a solid coat not basecoat. i sprayed a different car with my usual paintshop paint today and it painted so much better though. verdict is... ok if need be but use paintshop stuff if you can get it. the only thing that confused me a little is if it is as everyone says, cellulose based, i mixed with hardener and thinners that were 2k and it worked fine, no reactions so im not sure it is cellulose or it would have reacted.

That's good news fella.we've just painted my BMW cab today in Ferrari red basecoat/laquer and it came from the paint supplies as mix 2:1,which is what we always do and the results were stunning!!!I think it's up to the individual as dingla said he uses 20/30% thinners and we never put more than 5%!!!
