Default My $1 Turbo Heatshield

I figured while I had the turbo off My XR4Ti (replacing the hotside) I'd fab up a heat shield...So I went down to the local thrift store and bought an old aluminum pot for $1...I cut it up with some snips and fit it. I gave it a quick polish with a green scotchbrite pad and some comet cleanser, then hit it with some polish for a few min...For a $1 and about a 30 min investment it should work ok...sorry for the crap cell pics...

surely that will keep all the heat around the housing and will not let the heat escape - may end up with a cracked housing a tthat rate i reckon

Nice one, cheaper than a turbo blanket!

What turbo conversion has your XR got? Janspeed?
