Yeah, stick to the escort td Connor as you'll get the doors with the leccy windows etc and you know everything will just bolt in and you've got loads of spares as well.better to get the full car, running as well so you can make sure your not putting shit in it!!get the belts done on the turbo motor unless you see evidence it's been done recently as the engines pretty much scrap if the timing belt goes.Fair do's mate, your doing ok for a 17/18 yr old!!

Looks like a good base to start, mine was covered in green moss, the steel wheels were covered in brake dust and the interior was filthy, but it was cheap and cleaned up very well

it now looks like this, gti rep skirts, 17" alloys and fiesta si front seats

as a start, crack the pump up a bit, only about 5-10 degrees clockwise (can go more but no one will be able to see behind you), make sure the throttle cable has no slack, screw in the max throttle screw a little to make sure you are getting full throttle and also adjust the idle stop so it idles slightly higher, gives it better take off. Remove the idle stabiliser as supposedly that helps, full service, check timing is bob on etc and that is about all you will get engine wise from the std diesel. then is a td lump from escort etc. Interior/exterior styling wise a gti/si is a good buy (mot faliure etc) then nick trim, electrics, bumpers etc.

Not read other posts so appologies if already covered
