Stolen from the sierra room on this forum i think this is amazing that these cars are still turning up like this just makes you wonder will they ever stop being found like this (rs's) in general.
Bit like mine. Except mines not a 500 just a 3 door Rs, been sat 17 years in dry storage, Just spent past 3 months getting it sorted and Mot'd again, wasnt forgotten though. my mates dad owned it and the black one Ive just sold, we restored the black one 3 years ago and just done the same to mine. Well mechanical restoration anyway, runs like a good un now, Just to do some bits on body work.
They keep popping up

Reason: .
Seems to have shot up in price fairly quick, will keep an eye on this!
Will be strange if it goes over Ł20k though, since there's a black 39k miler for sale that's in perfectly good nick for Ł19.5k on PH (apart from it's shit interior)
I'm guessing that is potentially be crashed or been in an accident?
Seems odd for a 4 year old (when it was taken off the road) car to have the front bumper, drivers wing and door painted.
are you serious?
my 3 year old mondeo has had the passengers doors repainted along with the bonnet front wings and bumper..
cars under 3 years old arn't immune from getting scratched, kicked and generally abused!
as for why it's at the price it is at already then people may be bidding like me and put there top price in and wait, so if 2 people did that bingo the price goes up!, I don't wait till the last minute to bid, on ebay
also the car has had a low number of owners that does make it more desirable than one thats on owner 20!!

why are these worth such big prices it amazes me tbh
a minty mint example that for all purposes can never be used as it should is an expensive item to look at in your garage knowing it owes you 30k.40k etc utter madness imho
that milage seems alot in 4 years of a car that age's life tho dont you think considering its been laid up for so long i mean i just sold a C reg mk 2 granada with just over 100k on the clock that as far as im aware has been on the road its hole life??? nearly 70k in for years on a new car fair enough but old cars generally diddent do that sort of milage??
