Vulcan fans - Huddersfield Flyover Saturday 12th June :D
The vulcan aircraft is to make a flyover Huddersfield, and in particular, Farnly Tyas (near Honley) on Saturday 12th at 1500 hours as part of the 2010 Honley Show celebrations 
Not seen this beast in flight for a long time personally so will be making the most of this

I hope it makes an appearance - I live 10 mins from the showground and will be purposefully waking up early (on nights

I thought it wasn't airworthy just yet. Is it confirmed she will be flying? She has cancelled her appearance at Cosford this weekend due to technical issues. (at least that's what my mate has just text me)

The 12th of this month youve got no chance sorry matey she's still up on the jacks and were not due to get the undercarriage back untill monday let alone doing the ground function tests

Cheers for that Mark - Local rag who do a bit of a feature on the show before it happens said the Vulcan had been booked and confirmed - Looks like another case of press crap

ARCH: I got into it purely by chance both times ive worked for the company first time round i was doing abit of agency work in the warehouses near me and one friday when i went to hand my time sheet in i saw the job advertised in the window of the agency so i put my name forward for it went for an interview on the wednesday started there on the monday. This was dureing the original restoration and it was the best 2 years work ive ever done and loved every single day there it was just a shame that once she had flown first time i was laid off as there was two people doing the same job as me and they decided to keep the other guy on
Fast forward a couple of years id just been made redundant from my job so i went up to brunters to have a blast round the track and let some steam off, after i was finished on the track i nipped in the hangar to say hello to the guys and somebody mentioned there might be abit of work for me to do again for a couple of weeks. just over a year and a half later and im still here getting ready for my first full show season so if you see a short guy with long hair and a beard come over and say hello
And there we are folks my life story for the last few years lol

.... I had a bet on that XH558 would fly Before XV290 
..... I will drop in and say hello one day mate, I work over in J3, and worked 290 for a while.Can't wait to see the Vulcan fly again

You'll have a job arch were not based at brunters any more unfortunatly the aircraft it self is hangar'd up at raf lyneham and our main office is at hinckley.
No worries will come over and say hello i dont know about a chocolate bar i might be able to do a coffee and a couple of jaffa cakes though Im job shareing again next week so i'll be down there monday and tuesday 8am till 6pm then wednesday 8 till around lunch timeish

Just to let you all know if your interested all the test flights went good and she will be flying at waddington today for her first show of the season then doing waddington again tomorrow and also a display at goodwood

WILL: were going to be operating out of brize again this year theres more room for us there but were suppost to be going back to lyneham again for the winter service if the bean counters sort them selves out.
RICH: It was a good day i think most of the base stopped work to see the old girl fly out i seen you aswell the other day driveing onto the base i cant remember if it was wednesday or thursday morning i was just getting some thing out the boot of one of the disco's and you came past i was going to flag you down but by the time id thought about it you'd already drove past lol

See if flying last summer......Was just chilling in the sun with friends & see this weird plane fly over then realised it was the Vulcan!

Yeah that was me id seen afew focus st's on site so i wasnt sure it was you untill you came along side and i seen the colour of the wheels i didnt want to just stop any one driveing a focus incase i looked like a tit lol
