Does anyone know what MY the higher tax kickes in for these and is it possible to get one with the 6 speed and nav prior to the tax hike.

I think the 6 speed was late 2003 just wondering what MY to look for that has everything I want and still around the 200 mark to tax.

 

anyhting after 2001 will always be in high tax bracket depending on engine size

 

na the ST220 isnt effected untill after 2006 model iirc bud as I am also thinking of changing my 200 for one soon.

If that IS the case then is it possible to get an 03-06 plate with the nav?

 

my mates is an 02 plate and he gets stung Ł400 odd in tax

 

mine is a 04 and i pay 235

 

The highest rate is only for March 2006 onward cars, if you find the perfect car but without the touchscreen sat nav (can be fitted to facelift cars from 53 reg onward) it can be retrofitted, just go to fordmondeo.org

I believe that at the moment its cars post March 2006 which are stung, but in future, it'll be cars after March 2001 which will get raped for the high tax level...
